A lucky player from Kansas City, Missouri, struck gold with a $4 million win on a “100 Million Cash Bonanza” ticket purchased at a local QuikTrip, according to the Missouri Lottery.
A lucky player at a QuikTrip in KCMO stumbled upon a ticket they had never played before, according to the Missouri Lottery. Taking a chance and purchasing the $20 ticket turned out to be a huge win.
“I was visiting a friend when I spontaneously decided to stop by and purchase a ticket,” he recounted.
“I had come across that game before and finally made the decision to give it a try.”
He scratched off the ticket and was thrilled to discover that he had won the top prize.
He expressed his disbelief, saying, “This doesn’t feel real. It just doesn’t feel real.”
“I grabbed my phone and immediately turned to Google, searching for guidance on my next course of action!”
Players have won more than $95.8 million in prizes on that particular ticket. There are currently over $16.8 million in unclaimed prizes, including an additional $4 million prize and four $100,000 prizes.
In the fiscal year of 2024, Clay County players achieved an impressive sum of over $29.6 million in winnings. Retailers were also rewarded with commissions and bonuses amounting to over $3.1 million, while education programs in the county received a substantial contribution of more than $10.1 million.
