HAMPSTEAD – The search for a new Principal for Hampstead Middle School has been narrowed down to three candidates, after the search committee met with and visited six candidates selected from the initial pool.
Maria Di Nola, Assistant Principal of Operations at Timberlane Regional High School, is a candidate from the local School Administrative Unit (SAU), which includes Hampstead and the four Timberlane towns of Sandown, Danville, Plaistow and Atkinson. The other two finalists are Sean Pine, Principal of Auburn Village School, a kindergarten through eighth grade school, and Christi Michaud, Principal of Golden Brook Elementary School in Windham.
Site visits will be conducted by the search committee on May 7. That will be followed by a public forum at Hampstead Middle School on Thursday, May 8, from 6 to 8 p.m. The public forum will devote a half hour to each candidate. During that time, each candidate will introduce themselves and their candidacy and then respond to questions from the audience.
The three presentations will be followed by a half hour of “meet and greet” with the audience.
Assistant Superintendent Roxanne Wilson encouraged the community to take part in this public forum and then provide feedback via a special email account to be established. The forum will be televised and then placed on Vimeo.
On Friday, May 9, the three candidates will meet with administrators for the final interviews. The selection of the new principal is expected to be announced at the May 13 Hampstead School Board meeting.
