HAMPSTEAD – Hampstead Middle School’s Anti-Bullying Club (ABC) joined with schools from across the country in Justin Spencer’s Legacy X Team’s latest effort to address and halt bullying – the BullyX Project.
The ABC members spent the week after vacation at recess and lunch writing their comments about bullying and getting others in the school to do the same.
Each participant was provided with a red sheet of paper. When all the comments from the school were collected, they were sent to Legacy X Headquarters in Las Vegas, Nev.
Spencer is the founder of Recycled Percussion and Legacy X, and this is his latest effort to encourage the world to join against bullying.
Once all the red pages came in, they were taken to the desert outside Las Vegas, and a huge Red X was formed, with each leg of the X measuring the size of a football field.
The huge Red X was to be filmed from the ground and the air, and a video will be broadcast on YouTube.
That event was slated for March 22.
